At Kusuubira Women Foundation, we're committed to creating a brighter future for Uganda's youth. We're excited to share the impact of our awareness campaign, launched three months ago, aimed at preventing teenage pregnancy and promoting healthy lifestyles among students.

Our Progress
In just three months, we've reached 521 students in six schools, focusing on candidate classes in primary schools, vocational schools, and secondary schools. Our interactive workshops have covered topics such as reproductive health, decision-making, and goal-setting, empowering students with knowledge and skills to make informed choices.
The Reality
Teenage pregnancy remains a pressing issue in Uganda, with many young girls facing unplanned pregnancies, dropping out of school, and limited opportunities for education and economic empowerment. Boys are also affected, often lacking the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and relationships.
Our Goal
Building on our success, we aim to impact 15,000 students directly in 2026, expanding our reach to more schools and communities. But that's not all - we believe that empowered students can become powerful ambassadors, sharing their knowledge with peers, family, and friends. If each of the 15,000 students we empower directly shares the information with just one other student, our impact doubles, reaching an estimated 30,000 students indirectly!
How You Can Help
We're seeking funding to support our awareness campaigns in 20 schools, with a total campaign goal of 10,200,000 Ugandan shillings (approximately $2,800 USD). This will enable us to:
• Reach 20 schools with comprehensive awareness campaigns
• Provide learning materials (e.g., brochures, posters, interactive tools) to support our workshops
• Facilitate expert-led workshops for 20 schools
• Cover transportation costs for our team
• Develop branding materials (e.g., T-shirts, banners, stickers) to promote our message
Breakdown of Costs
• Facilitation fee per school: 510,000 Ugandan shillings (about $140 USD)
• Total campaign goal: 510,000 x 20 schools = 10,200,000 Ugandan shillings
