Teen battling rare disease... Please Help!
Donation protected
Hello,
I started this GoFundMe page to seek help for my sister in Christ, Gabby. Gabby is a sweet, talented, and compassionate young lady. Gabby is full of life and loves helping whenever she’s needed.
Now it is Gabby that needs our help! She is currently in a challenging situation, and we urgently need to seek medical attention for her as she is suffering from Porphyria, a life-threatening condition. Her condition has caused immense pain, making it challenging to live out her day-to-day life. She is in constant physical pain and experiencing symptoms that no young person should experience.
Fighting disease is difficult for anyone - but fighting a disease so young and being wrongly diagnosed so many different times has taken its toll on Gabby. In the past years, Gabby has been in the hospital every month. Some months, every week, her condition gets worse. The last time they wrongly diagnosed Gabby, they gave her fluid that reached her lung.
With her mother’s advocacy, some family members/friends have collectively been covering all the expenses for her to get tested, treated, and medicated; however, they haven't covered what is needed. They have not seen any progress in her health, as she needs specialized treatment. This illness has been especially hard for Gabby’s mom, who is currently her primary caregiver.
After so much searching, her mother has finally found some hope for Gabby at Uchee Pines Institute in Alabama with their 17-day lifestyle program with incredible testimonials from patients suffering from similar conditions. The program stated that Gaby has an opening to come on February 13th, 2022. This is the most urgent financial need for her healing currently.
Other ongoing expenses include medicine, medical bills, ongoing natural remedy treatments, including supplements and organic vegetables for juicing.
Uchee Pines and our loving church family have agreed to cover 2/3 of the program's cost. The family cannot cover the remaining cost of the treatment on their own, which is why they are now looking to friends, extended family, community, and any person reading this for help.
No matter how small, all donations are a massive aid and will be getting Gabby the help she needs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your generosity.
