#TeamLenaClaire
As most of you have heard, my sister and brother-in-law welcomed Lena Claire to the world on July 18 in Mobile, AL. The following morning she was diagnosed with an Interrupted Aortic Arch and VSD. She was flown by helicopter and then jet to the children's cardiology intensive care unit at UAB in Birmingham, AL with parents, Cristina and Chris, close behind. Baby Lena will have open heart surgery to repair her heart defects. The road to recovery for any newborn surgery is long, stressful, and overwhelmingly expensive. Her parents will be at her side in Birmingham the entire time. Currently, they are living at the children's hospital in Birmingham, over 250 miles from their home. Donating will help them greatly with living expenses in Birmingham, rising medical costs, and accumulating bills at home in Mobile. Food, taxis and laundry. Everyday expenses add up quickly so please consider donating to Lena's family to help with overwhelming living and medical expenses they will endure. We will keep you posted on Lena's progress as time goes on. All monies left over will be donated to UAB Children's Cardiology Intensive Care Unit to help other newborns with the same defect.
Thank you
