My name is Shannon. I am 21 years of age. In January of 2015 I was diagnosed with Appendiceal cancer. It is a rare cancer that has not yet been found curable. I waited a long time to go to the doctor because I didn't have good enough insurance that would cover my medical bills. I am currently unemployed due to the severity of my condition. I have been to 3 different hospitals. No one helped me because of the insurance situation. I went to UAB Downtown and they ran a few test on me but never thoroughly explained to me what was going on with my body. So I was referred to the Cancer Centers of America, knowingly aware of the popularity of the facility and costly visit. I was originally making arrangements to visit Cancer Centers of America in Atlanta, GA but of course the insurance gave me hard time. I was sent to a further location in Tulsa,OK. I am currently undergoing treatment, so I am needing financial help with some of my medical expenses and transportation to get back and forth from Birmingham to 
Oklahoma. I'm not asking for a whole lot, but it would help me very much if you can give what you can. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
