A future for Tibetan Children Villages

Near and far, we believe all children deserve the education and resources they need to succeed in their life. With each child we empower, we ALL win. 

We're an international group of 13 people in Holland, practicing leadership.
We are raising 10.000 Euros until Friday 1st of November 2019 at midnight CET for the non profit organization Tibetan Children’s Villages. 

Tibetan parents send their children away from their home country, across the Himalayas, to India, in search of a better life.  When they arrive in India as refugees, Tibetan Children’s Villages provides support, education, housing, and food to these kids.

The Tibetan Children's Villages (TCV) was founded in 1960 and is an integrated community in exile for the care and education of orphans, destitutes and refugee children from Tibet. It's a registered, nonprofit charitable organization (main facility based at Dharamsala- Nord India ) with  eight branches spread across India having over 12.000 children under its care.
Till 2006 TCV has been presided by Jetsun Pema- sister of the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, the spiritual leader of Tibet who is also living in exile since 1959.

Beside the education of the children, TCV builds infrastructure like classrooms and solar projects to provide the children comfort in all their needs.
Doing so they try very hard to preserve the own culture, traditions and language because this is very much threaten by the more than 60 years of occupation of Tibet. Though it's dangerous to leave the home country, Tibetans keep on coming across the Himalayas into exile. Most of them end up in India though Nepal and Buthan is sometimes also a goal. From there Tibetans spread all over the world.

The teachers and leaders of the TCV work very hard so the children will grow up as educated citizens who can serve the Tibetan community as well as the whole humanity as envisioned by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
His vision for this world is non-violence, compassion with all sentient beings - which means men and animals! - human rights ( like freedom of speech and religion )
The Dalai Lama is living His vision as one clearly can see in his way of talking and acting after all these years of being responsible for his land and his people.
Though the suffering was -and still is- tremendous among the Tibetans, the Dalai Lama NEVER blames the occupiers.
"We have an uninvited guess in our home country..."

What we learn and experience in our childhood is what we live in this world.
This is why we, the team from the leadership program Energia Positiva, choose to support TCV: children will have a better future!

UPDATE! 

We've reached our fundraising goal and we're so grateful to every single one of our donors. We're now in the process of transferring the funds we've raised directly to the team at Tibetan Children's Villages. Our fundraising team member, Marina Pannekeet, is in charge of withdrawing the money from GoFundMe and transferring it to the TCV team. She will transfer it directly to them using the bank information that they have provided.
