Team Mari Back To School

Hi everyone, my name is Mari Copeny, I'm 13 years old and globally I am known as Little Miss Flint even though I'm not so little anymore. 



I have been a clean water activist and philanthropist since I was 8 years old. I am known to pull off some pretty amazing events for the kids in Flint, Michigan. Like the huge party that I threw for my 11th birthday last year including giving out over 600 bikes to the kids of Flint, or being able to get backpacks filled with school supplies to every school in Flint, or taking over an entire school and turning it into a Christmas Wonderland. 



I have made it my job the past few years to make sure that all Flint Kids are taken care of, especially when it comes to water, books, and school supplies. That is why I am starting this fund. I want to be able to ensure that the kids here in Flint are prepared for the 20-21 school year, even though we know it will look a lot different then what we are used to. But the one thing we know for certain is that school will resume and local kids are going to need these supplies whether they are doing school online, hybrid or face to face full time in school buildings. 

My goal is to get supplies for 500 students in the Flint/Genesee County area. This includes also making sure they have a washable face mask, and enough supplies to keep them busy if they are doing school online. I will also try to stock them up on hand sanitizer.
