Team Makenna

Our miracle daughter, Makenna, has overcome the near impossible. An extremely rare medical condition called Vein of Galen Malformation, which was considered a death sentence just 10 years ago. Makenna’s case being so successful and her fighting so hard, has led her specialty teams to publish the method in which they accomplished the procedure. This was the first time that they conducted EchoCardiograms throughout the Embolization procedure to monitor her heart function, along with decreasing the blood flow in her brain. Makenna was 5 days old and already saving lives!! She’s overcome Pulmonary Hypertension, heart, liver, kidney and gallbladder failure all this due to the malformation. Only 11 doctors globally practice care with this type of condition. With all the speciality care required for her survival, most of it was not covered under insurance. We are so thankful to have Makenna alive and thriving. She is the happiest, sweetest, and most amazing blessing we could ever ask for.
