Spende geschützt
In March, Jennie found a lump of the top of her upper shoulder. Thinking nothing of it, she made an appointment on May 10th with her primary Dr to determine what it was. Because of her past diagnoses, the doctor recommended a CT scan to see if it was anywhere else in her body.
Following the CT scan, her Dr. stated that the mass was to be removed for further testing. Jennie had it removed under general anesthesia. Pathology results revealed that it was cancerous.. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (a cancer of the lymphatic system). They did a PET scan, and was discovered as Stage 3.
Her Dr. said that it has located in her neck, chest, and hip.
Since the diagnosis, Jennie has had to go through numerous appointments and tests prior to starting her chemotherapy treatment. One of the recent procedure she’s had done was placing a PICC line. The PICC line is placed on her right arm to allow easy access for chemo medications and lab draws.
One of the hardest things Jennie ever had to do was... shave her head due to the chemo, after her first treatment it started coming out in clumps and didn't give her much of a option but to look for wigs.
Jennie and I never imagined that at the age of 32 she would be going through something like this again. She was diagnosed at the age 19 with Hodgkin's lymphoma and was in remission for going on 13 years, Jennie has a long journey ahead, but we know the love and prayers from all of you will help.
The proceeds from this page will go towards Jennie's bills and to stay in Minneapolis at the U of M for a stem cell transplant for 4 to 6 weeks.
Anything will help!!!
Thank you
