On October 11th 2018, at 7am, our 4th child, Daisy Chalmers, was born in the Snowdrop Suite at Northampton General Hospital. Despite being only 19 weeks and 5 days old, our beautiful little princess lived for an hour and 25 minutes before peacefully falling asleep in our arms.
Throughout the painful journey, both before and after the birth, we have been supported by so many good people. Since Daisy's passing, we have worked tirelessly to raise funds for local and national charities and we are continuing to run events. Having a GoFundMe page gives us the autonomy to continue to help people and choose the right charities that are close to our hearts.
We as a family made a promise that we will live our lives as a legacy to Daisy and try to help other families who find themselves in a similar situation or people in need. Since the inception of TeamDaisy, we have raised almost £15000 in her name.
The latest event, along with my team of 25 athletes, is raising funds for Bodie Hodges Foundation as a thank you for their support in our time of need. In the current pandemic, every single penny will help this fantastic charity. Have a look here for the great work they do https://www.bodiehodgesfoundation.co.uk/ Each member of the team will be walking. jogging or running 10 miles over the course of a week. Some will even do it all in one go! An absolute team of legends!
