Hello,
I am reaching out for help as our beloved 7 year old border collie cross has injured her the ligament in her meniscus and she requires really expensive surgery to have it repaired. The technical term for the injury is called a Ruptured Cranial Cruciate Ligament in her right knee and she requires a orthopedic surgeon to come in to the vet clinic to repair it. The surgery is called TPLO- Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy. Teala is our family dog and we dont have the funds to pay for this as my dad is on disability for cancer and my Mother is a teacher but will soon have no work in the summer and needs to save to provide for our family. Both my partner and I have had to take time off work due to illness and have had reduced hours due to covid-19. My dad will be having surgery soon for his cancer so we are trying to arrange the funds for Teala asap so we wont have both to take care of at the same time.
Our dogs our our lives and our emotional support during really tough times. Putting her down is NOT and option as she could live a happy life with this repair for up to 7 or more years.
