Teacher, Mother, Sister, Needs Chemotherapy Wig

Please help me give a gift of love to a a beautiful Mother, Teacher, Sister, and Friend by raising funds to buy her a wig. Yes, a wig.

Let me tell her story!

Meet Melinda:

Melinda is a loving and supportive sister, and a loyal friend. Melinda is a “Rockstar” mom of three beautiful girls, Olivia (24), Kennedy (20), and Kasidee (15).

Melinda is an amazing 6th grade teacher. Melinda remembers every student to enter her classroom and strives to make a difference in their future. Any of her past students will tell you that she’s has forever done just that.

Those around her know that her spunk, laughter and outlook on life is contagious. If you’ve ever met Melinda in person, you know she’s easily recognizable by her beautiful long red hair, and her signature saying, “Karma has red hair.” 

Unfortunately, Melinda was recently diagnosed with breast cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes. Melinda has recently undergone a double mastectomy and is just starting chemotherapy. The chemotherapy that she is about to start is a very aggressive chemotherapy treatment that the hospital has coined the name "Red Devil Chemotherapy Treatment" .

Melinda is a fighter; she is a tough redhead that never gives up. 

 Unfortunately, medical bills and costs associated with cancer add up quickly on a teacher’s salary.

Melinda is in the process of trying to purchase a wig, which is also adding financial stress to her recovery. These wigs are very expensive and are not covered by her insurance.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of Melinda’s financial stress as she fights this battle before her.

We would love to give Melinda some sense of normalcy. Helping her purchase a wig to get her through her treatments would greatly help with this goal.
