Help Dottie Get Life-Saving Surgery

Hey y'all,

At the encouragement of a few dear friends, I'm opening a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of surgery for my sweet rat, Dottie. She has developed a very large, fast-growing mammary tumor that has now become impossible to ignore. It's starting to rub against the ground when she walks, and the skin around it has stretched thin — making it prone to scabbing or getting accidentally scratched by her cagemates.

Despite it all, Dottie is still eating, drinking, and trying her best to stay active, but the tumor is now seriously affecting her mobility and overall comfort. It breaks my heart to see her struggling.

Because rats are considered exotic pets, the cost of surgery is steep, and it’s not something I can easily afford on my own right now. But Dottie is my baby girl — I love her more than words can say, and I want to give her every chance to live comfortably and pain-free for as long as possible.
