Tusmo Orphanage. Burco, Somaliland

Assalamu alaikum.  I hope you’re all in good health and Imaan (faith). SubhanAllah! Here we are again, another Ramadan, another chance to give to the less fortunate.
May Allah reward each one of you for all your donations, reposts, shares, tweets and story uploads. Let’s see if we can do the same this year too.
Let’s continue to put smiles on these beautiful children’s faces, and give them the Eid and quality of life that they deserve.

Tusmo Orphanage in Burco, Somaliland was set up in 2011, and after many years of fundraising and building, it was finally opened in 2017. It currently houses 20 children, both boys & girls. These children are able to have somewhere to eat, sleep, play and learn, Alhamdulilah (praise to Allah). The land the orphanage is built on was donated by Tusmo Aideed Rageh (Allahu Rahma). The orphanage sits on a land of 1 hector and has the potential to house 100 children, however, the orphanage mostly relies on donations to keep it going, and currently can only afford to house 20. 

As we enter the last 10 days of Ramadan, let’s continue to remember those who are less fortunate and continue in our good deeds Insha’Allah (God Willing). Charity doesn’t decrease your wealth. Please donate as much or as little as you can. 

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. 

( Sahih Al-Bukhari: book 78, hadith 36)
