Support for Ukrainians

Hi, my name is Sasha, I am Ukrainian and I live in London. Due to the horrific war that is currently going on, I have traveled to Odessa this week to get my elderly mother.

We are currently in Moldova where my mother managed to get to a refugee centre and we are now trying to get back to the UK.

We have been told that we can fly to Switzerland while the UK visa is arranged but we are struggling to make any progress.

The local knowledge is very weak and there seems to be a lack of interest which we expect is due to overwhelm.

At one point we were advised to obtain a tourist visa and at another point to send my mother's visa out of the country. If the UK government is in the process of setting up a system it certainly isn't being done quick enough.

My family are all in different parts of Ukraine and are dealing with difficult situations as you can imagine.
