Bears broken leg surgery

Hi, my name is Susan and I’m fundraising for my 1 and a half year old dog, Bear. He is a street dog from Asia and is now living in Richmond, BC. He is the sweetest gentle giant who loves to play and give kisses.

This evening, on February 25th my sister and I were walking our dogs Teddy and Bear around our neighbour hood. We were on a side road when a car sped up and hit bear. He immediately lifted his bloody left leg with his bone visible from the wound and was squealing.

I took him to Intercity Animal emergency where they are keeping him for 24 hours. They have done x-rays, sedation, bloodwork, and etc. and have already charged me over $2300 for the 24 hour stay.

The results of the x-ray are he has 2 broken bones in his leg and needs orthopaedic surgery. The hospital quoted me an additional $4,500 for the surgery that they are planning to perform within the next day or two. Bear and I would appreciate any donation to help him get better soon. Thank you!
