I cannot fathom that I am making this post.

This past weekend my sweet baby sister watched my mom have a seizure. She bravely called 911 and was taken by ambulance to the ER. They ran labs and sent her to Cat-Scan and MRI where we were given the diagnosis that she has a very large brain tumor. Even now typing the words it still feels like a terrible nightmare. She will be having neurosurgery this Friday in Atlanta, where she will spend several days in the ICU along with 12 weeks of at-home recovery. I knew my mom was tough, but this week has proven just how tough she is. She’s smiled, laughed, made jokes, and has been incredibly optimistic. While my heart is broken watching my younger siblings go through this, I am so so thankful we have each other.

Anyone who has ever been through something like this knows how astronomical the medical bills are. From the ER visit, doctors appointments, specialists appointments, medication, travel, time off of work, the neurosurgery itself, the list goes on and on. While so much of this is out of my control, I at least want to ease as much of her financial burden as I possibly can so that she can focus on healing and beating this. I understand not everyone is in the position to give. Your prayers are just as as important and needed.
