Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/tctodc/

It's time to take action! TC is going to take on DC in the Women's March on Washington on January 21, 2017!
Our goal is to organize a collective community trip so that we can represent our area in solidarity.

Standard tickets are full, please help us raise funds for our scholarship seating. It is the organizers’ goal to allow citizens with financial barriers a chance to join in the march. We are offering 16 scholarship seats at a lower rate ($40 instead of $145, potentially). Scholarship tickets will not become available for purchase until fundraising goals have been met.

Check out (AND SHARE!) our donation rewards and events! Reward items: Custom chalkboard art, ukulele lessons & performances, t-shirts (coming soon, any service YOU would like to add (just tell us)!

Events: Dance Party w/ DJ Chrissles & Friends, https://www.facebook.com/events/1331397166913268/ Yoga For the People, https://www.facebook.com/events/1141916112588558/

Help us reach out to diverse organizations. It is the national organizers’ goal to ensure this march gives a voice to all. We believe including people and organizations that represent marginalized groups on our bus will allow us to join in a better conversation, to learn from each others’ experiences and perspectives. We will be reaching out, but ask for your help if you know of any organization that may want to get involved!

Message from the organizer, Maria Kinney: I'm from Traverse City,  MI and work at Higher Grounds Coffee. A few of us that work together decided to charter a bus and were joined by other community members who wanted to help. All money raised is going toward payment for the bus ($7500) including any driver tips ($1-2 per person, per day) and credit card processing fees (3%). If any funds remain, they will be used for poster making supplies and food/water for bus riders. As soon as we retrieve the funds, we will use them directly toward these payments to secure the transportation (a deposit has already been made). If you have any questions or want to chat in person, don't hesitate to contact me!
