Tarakaye's Plea for Her Mother's Battle Against Liver Cancer

I am Tarakaye McLaren, the daughter of Dorothy McLaren and I have decided to start a fundraiser for her. It is with a heavy heart, I hereby inform you all that my mother’s biopsy result had confirmed metastatic liver cancer on the 25th of July which means the cancer had spread from somewhere else in the body. As a result she will have to do both endoscopy and colonoscopy to find the primary source of the cancer to treat it as well. She is currently admitted at the hospital and being treated for bilateral pulmonary embolism. Eventually, post-discharge she will have to commence chemotherapy, possible radiotherapy and surgery to resect the tumor so that hopefully she can continue living her life a bit much longer and share more happy memories with us. She has medical insurance but unfortunately same is not enough to cover the costs for doctor visits, chemotherapy, hospitalization, supportive care and operative procedures. We are almost burnt out financially due to having to pay mostly out of pocket to cover her previous medical expenses. It would hurt me and my family greatly to see her go so soon. She means the world to us and I just want her to be okay again. So far, we heavily appreciate your contributions and same has been encouraging her to keep fighting and hanging on mentally.
