Tanner takes on Disney

Donation protected
My name is Shiloh Williams, and I am blessed to know this wonderful family. Kat, Daniel, Tanner and Blaine have been through so much, and I would like to gift them a trip to Disney. They deserve it more than anyone I know. Tanner was born with a rare syndrome that has affected every aspect of her and her family's lives. She has been in and out of the hospital and endured more procedures and pokes than anyone her age should have to endure. Her family was told yesterday that she would have to have her eyes sewn shut to try and prevent further damage to her eyes.. sewn shut! How do you explain this to a child, a parent? I can't imagine the pain as parents of this being something they are about to experience. Right now, their biggest wish for their little girl is to get her to Disney to see all the princesses and all the magical things before she can't. She will be having surgery on Aug. 23rd, and there is nothing more that I want for them than to be able to make this wish come true. Below are words from her mom, and I'm asking people to donate to pay for the expense of this trip for this beautiful family. Please read what only a mother can say best and contribute to them.

From Kat:
Disney, the happiest place on earth. What child doesn’t want to experience such a place? My sweet Tanner Nicole has been perplexed why we can’t just hop in the car and go to Disney. We’ve explained it takes planning, money, etc. She has had multiple medical procedures due to her syndrome, Ankyloblepharon-ectodermal defects-cleft lip/palate, one of which the doctors had to pull all of her teeth. So naturally, the tooth fairy came. Tanner Nicole was beside herself to find money under her pillow, “Mommy, I have Disney money!”

Fast forward to her latest medical procedure, we learned the stem cells in her cornea’s are not regenerating, she has no tear ducts, and she is progressively losing her vision due to the extreme damage to the corneas. Thus, the doctors will be sewing her eyes shut to calm the intense damage, a procedure called tarsorrhaphy. As a mom, I do not know where to begin this conversation with her, and or to her 6-year-old brother, Blaine.

As the saying goes “it takes a village”, so let’s do it, let’s get this girl to Disney to SEE the happiest place on earth. A memory that will live vividly with my girl and our family forever.
