Help Tana beat leukemia for good!
Donation protected
Tana Pike was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on the 24th October 2023 and has been fighting a tremendous battle ever since. She had a stem cell transplant in May 2024 with her sister as her donor and all was going well and had been discharged and made it back home to Nairobi, Kenya, until her blood counts plummeted and she was admitted to hospital. After many tests and patiently waiting for results, it was confirmed that Tana’s transplant had failed. Tana has been hospitalized many times and had to receive blood and platelet transfusions every couple of days. Luckily, she is now fit enough to travel back to India to get a second transplant with her cousin as her donor.
What happened to Tana is incredibly rare and the only chance at recovery and life is a second transplant. Tana’s treatment is going to cost thousands of dollars (~$45,000) and we are asking if you can help Tana and her family cover it. Cancer is unbelievably unfair and the financial burden makes it even more so. Unfortunately, Tana’s medical insurance and funds have been exhausted due to ongoing/previous treatments and there is not enough to see her through. There are additional costs with flights, accommodation, visas, food etc as Tana, her carer and her donor need to travel to India with 4-6 month’s stay.
Tana is the most amazing human and deserves all that life still has to offer. She recently got married and was looking forward to starting a family. Please support this amazing lady.
