Hello friends and family! I am so excited to announce that God is taking me to Singapore in February for 4 months! I will doing an internship at a rehabilitation centre (Tamar Village) for women recovering from working in the red light district of Singapore. This is a dream that I have had sitting stagnant for years and never spoke out until I was sitting around a table in Indonesia with 10 wonderful, fearless and bold women and was asked (shoutout Claire Hodgkins, I love you) what my BIG and CRAZY dreams in life were, even the ones that I never believed could be a reality. Simply speaking this out was the start of God doing His thing to make it all happen. I want to give other women the chance to SPEAK out their dreams and desires, no matter how daunting, insane or unrealistic they can seem... our God is more powerful than our wildest dreams.
At Tamar Village they provide a safe and loving place for ladies that have decided to leave the sex trade to live, get counselling, learn practical skills such as cooking, baking, sewing, etc and get help finding a new job. There is a community of women that love on the ladies that have left the red light district broken and alone to empower them to find hope and encourage the beautiful transformation ahead. God is calling me to invest and love deeply into these women in Singapore, to be intentional with, to pray and cry with and to simply sit down with women and have conversations about the dreams God has engrained on their hearts. I am excited to see the beautiful redemption and transformations that God has in store for the next year.
Butterflies to me symbol the amazing metamorphosis and change we experience as we discover freedom and beauty and find our true identity in Him.
