Take Action for Police Reform

Two years ago, George Floyd died violently while being suffocated under the knee of a Minneapolis Police Officer, captured in a nearly 9-minute video that reverberated all over the world.

 

Calls for police reform were made in all fifty states, and organizers, protestors and activists began calling for justice and reform all over the country.  

 

The House of Representatives passed the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act, but it eventually stalled out in the United States Senate.

 

Families from all walks of life continue to be impacted by police violence. 

My name is Susan Mitchell and I am the administrative legal assistant for Merritt Law Firm, LLC that represents 9 families that traveled to Washington DC to witness the signture of the Executive Order signed by President Biden.  The expenses include flights, hotel rooms, ground transportation, security and meals for all 23 family members that accompanied attorney Lee Merritt to DC.  All funds raised on this site will be used to reimburse the cost incurred which totaled an estimated $12,000.00.
