Takahashi Family Fund

My name is Carmen Mitchell. I am from Sonoma County, California. My friends and family have been directly affected by the fire storms in Santa Rosa. My boyfriend, Kotoku Takahashi and his family lost everything last night. If anyone has ever met the Takahashi's, they know that this family is nothing but kindhearted, loving, and welcoming to everyone who has ever entered their home. Unfortunately, due to the wildfire at the Coffee Park neighborhood near Hopper Ave, they have lost their home, two cars, and all of their possessions. Their home on Waring Ct. is now nothing but ashes. They are not homeowners and do not have any rental insurance, so everything they have lost will not be reimbursed. Anything helps and anything donated is always appreciated. All proceeds will go to help the Takahashi's start to rebuild their lives. Thank you for everything!

Thank you to everyone for your generous support. We are blessed to have the love of so many amazing people. Although we did lose our home, we feel like we’re some of the lucky ones and that's because of the kindness of our wonderful friends, family, and community. It is so much more than any of us could have imagined or asked for.

We have been fortunate enough to find an apartment in Santa Rosa. While there is still much to settle and rebuild, this place is starting to feel like home and it’s again with many thanks to you.
