Struggling Due To Government Shutdown

My mother has worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years. She is the most hardworking dedicated person I know. Last month the furnace in her home was completely red tagged and she blew through her savings to get it fixed. Just as she was starting to be able to save again, the government shutdown happened. For the last 3 weeks she has not been able work and earn a paycheck. The impact has been devastating and stressful to say the least. Asking for help via social media has been the last resort.
