Help Honduras

Hello my name is Kenny Martinez, I am attempting to raise money for the beautiful country of Honduras. Before continuing I would like to describe what the spirit/culture of Honduras is known and loved for. Honduras is an astounding country located in Central America which tourists are known to visit for its eye gazing island of Roatan and rich Mayan civilization history named Copan Ruinas. It is reported that 3.1 percent of the country's wealth is gained from tourism, with that being said one may assume that the people of Honduras have access to sufficient health insurance and education but in reality it is quite the opposite. The poverty rate for Honduras was estimated to be 50.30% which is equal to the everyday citizen living on $5.50 per day income. As some may know, Honduras was struck by two unfathomable category 4 and 5 hurricanes leaving nothing but destruction and broken families as it passed. Families have lost their homes and now reside in shelters or are simply living on the street but no matter where they are, food is limited, clothes are ripped and faith in the national government is not present. Many Hondurans that reside here in the United States have been collecting food, clothes, hygiene products, and sanitary items all over the country to help send it to all those in need in Honduras. My mother is one of these people that luckily have connections to those in Honduras that have been going city to city to help all of those affected by the hurricanes. All proceeds will be going to the Honduran Boys and Girls Scouts, they will provide everything necessary to help dozens of families at a time. In the wake of this event, I have been inspired to start this GoFundMe account to help raise money for all of those in need. 2020 has been an unprecedented year for most, my heart goes out to all of you who are reading this description and choose to join the initiative. .
