The Pickle Fund

Dear CACH/UPSer/Friends and Family,

This Go Fund Me is for Steve “Pickle” Clawson, a UPS Feeder driver out of CACH Hodgkins IL

Yesterday, 12/1/22 he worked his normal 22:00-10:00 shift and then around 2pm (14:00) he was texting me and a couple others friends on a group chat very casually and then about 40 minutes after the conversation changed and he said, that he was having some slurred speach and blurred vision issues and went to an emergency clinic. We all thought (including himself) that maybe he had a mild stroke but he still seemed very coherent. Unfortunately, they found a golf ball sized tumor in his brain and he was immediately ambulanced over to Rush Hospital in Chicago, for further testing. Eminent brain surgery is scheduled for Monday 12/5, and possible Chemo and Radiation depending on prognosis.

Steve is a 15 year UPSer, he is a loving husband and he is a dedicated father of 4 kids. I honestly don’t know what he has set up personally in terms of insurance and disability, but what I do know is he is going to be out of work and out of pay, and will need some help. It’s Peak right now and we are all making money hand over fist while also now looking at one of our own who will most likely be in need during this holiday season.

This GFM is solely 100% to help a friend and brother in need and to help support his wife and kids during this hard time. All I ask is with all the OT and DT we are getting is maybe to reaching into your pockets for a couple spare bucks for one of my very first/oldest/and dearest friends I’ve had here during my UPS career! He truly is “ONE OF THE GOOD ONES”
