SYC Ramadan Fundraiser 2022 - Water for Life

Water and sanitation are recognized by the United Nations as a basic human right. However, nearly 1 in 3 people around the world lack access to safe drinking water. This year, through Serendib Youth Canadas 7th Annual Ramadan Fundraiser, you will have the opportunity to support a life-changing project which will benefit communities for years to come (Sadaqah Jariyah).

Like last year, we will be donating all proceeds from this fundraiser towards constructing water wells in the most rural regions of Sri Lanka, to ensure that every family has access to clean drinking water. Please donate generously towards this project. Even $10 goes a long way. Alhamdulillah in 2021, with the help of everyone's donations, we managed to build 15 wells, providing fresh water to hundreds of people in rural areas.

For those interested in donating a complete well in memory of a loved one, or under your family's name, please contact one of the committee members on the flyer for more information. Tube wells can be donated for $195, community wells for $650.
