Swinburne Short Film "About Someone I Know"

Dear friends, Family, and supporters,

My name is Samuel Cowell. My team and I are currently fundraising for a first-year student film at Swinburne University.

The film revolves around the recent passing of a close friend, we watch as it changes both the main characters (Evan, Korra, and Malick) and the community around them. Evan struggles to find closure after he was unable to attend the funeral and struggles to connect with the rest of the group.​

Burdened with a collaborative stop-motion skate edit now left unfinished, Evan becomes fixated with landing the final trick to complete the video, which is a personal tribute. ​

As this story is based on a personal experience, we aim to make the film resonate with audiences who may have dealt with a similar struggle. ​
