SWEEAC is a nonprofit started in 1988 to assist families in the southwest communities of Atlanta, GA who were facing food insecurities. Mrs. Ernesta Ingram is our current Executive Director and with the assistance of a cadre of volunteers, they are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center. SWEEAC is currently located on Commerce Dr. SW in an area deemed a "food desert" by the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The SWEEAC center is supported by volunteers who generously give their time each day to make sure no family goes without. SWEEAC is facing a financial crisis. As donations usually slow down during this time of the year, the request for assistance is rising. Currently, SWEEAC provides food assistance to over 5000 families a month which also includes senior citizens and children.
