In March 2015, the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships Pool B will be held in Ostersund, Sweden.
The GB team will be competing against four other countries, South Korea, Slovakia, Poland and Sweden, all of whom will be battling for not only a gold medal, but the chance to be promoted to the coveted Pool A for the next round of World Championships in 2017.
A win will put the GB team in a fantastic position in the run up to the 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang. But getting to Sweden won’t be possible though without some help.
As with many winter sports, there is a severe lack of funding available. We need as much help as possible to make sure we can get the players and staff there. Player are holding their own fundraising events, but as the National Governing Body for the sport, the British Sledge Hockey Association is running this campaign to do what it can.
Please consider donating, no matter how much, to help get these athletes to World Championships and get them in with a chance to represent GB at the Paralympics.
