Matt and Kumi's burn fund

This is a shout out to family and friends for help. As many of you know Matt (my son) and Kumi (Matt's girlfriend) have moved back to Vancouver from Calgary several week ago. Yesterday morning around 5am, Matt could smell smoke and looked out of the glass sliding doors to see flames shooting out of the apartment beside them. Him, Kumi, and the dogs got out in time with no injuries. The fire didn't penetrate their suite, but theirs and many other suites suffered severe smoke damage. They lost pretty much everything that they had just paid the movers to move and didn't have insurance coverage yet. I'm hoping this post gets shared as much as possible and that anyone who is able to help will do so. If the opportunity arises. we would like to be able to help out other tenants, in addition to Matt and Kumi, that have been left in this terrible stressful situation. This is sent with our deepest gratitude. We would also appreciate any  information on suitable rentals as most of these families are now homeless :(
