Hi! I'm Susy Horta, a full-time volunteer ICU and educator nurse, I am currently waiting for the right time to go back to Africa to serve with Mercy Ships, but meanwhile...
... I have the opportunity to join the Loma de Luz Hospital, in Honduras, for 11 weeks (from January to March/2021)!!! I will be able to serve as a short-term volunteer nurse, hoping to not only care for the patients but also offer support and training for the local nurses. These funds would cover flights and transportation, housing, and food. Every donation will enable me to serve the people and nurses of Honduras!!
Hospital Loma de Luz is a full-service missions hospital. The medical services are provided by full-time missionaries serving as doctors, nurses, and physician assistants working with Honduran nurses and techs. The hospital cares for roughly 25,000 patients per year and performs about 1,200 surgical procedures per year. Here is a wonderful video about the hospital!!
