Surprise Washer & Dryer

After years of struggling with not having money to buy new washer and dryers, we got new ones only for our dryer to give out. Our dryer stopped working a few years ago. The washer stopped working, but we managed to get it to work. Meanwhile, my partner and our 6 year old takes our family’s laundry to local laundry mats and spend on average 6 hours each Sunday to do it.

We were finally able to buy new a washer and dryer yesterday and I posted our old working washer on our neighborhood Buy Nothing. While I will give it away to the first person that wanted it, a second person shared their family can really use the washer. He’s actually my partner’s former student, he has a partner and they have 3 young children. He shared he got furloughed and times have been hard and laundry has been challenging at best - something our family know all too well.

I’m trying to help others as I was able to help my family buy much needed appliances, I’m wondering if any of you can help contribute something, anything to help this family out.
