Surgery for Sushi: Our Family's Hope
Beschermde donatie
Our beloved bird Sushi, our silly, happy cockatiel that's so full of life, has been suffering from a condition called infraorbital sinusitis on her left side for almost 2 months now. We have visited multiple vets and specialists, and her condition has only become worse. The swelling around her eye has become bigger every day, and our vet is unable to drain it because the liquid inside is becoming more solid as the condition progresses. It has been affecting her eating (she is losing weight), she is becoming sleepy and sluggish, and it is also affecting her breathing and eyesight. She has been requiring multiple medications 3 times a day. The photos I am posting for this fundraiser are photos I took before she became ill. I don't want to post any graphic photos that may be too disturbing.
Our sweet baby requires surgery at the young age of 3 years old. The surgery is called Infraorbital Sinusotomy. Cockatiels can live up to around 30 years old. We would love to have a full life with Sushi. She has been here through some very rough life situations and been such a comfort to our family. She was home with me every day during my thyroid cancer, and that helped me so much. My husband and I are heartbroken to see her suffering and would appreciate any donation, big or small.
Our goal right now is to raise $5000 for Sushi's medical needs. We would really appreciate your help. Thank you SO much!
