Like many restaurants, Suraya had to temporarily close its doors on March 16, 2020 due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak in order to protect our staff, our guests and the larger community.
Many of our hard working staff live paycheck to paycheck and a closure of this extended timeline will be devastating.
It is our hope that we can give the staff, that brought such joy to the restaurant community and the city of Philadelphia, the financial support they need to weather this storm.
While we are looking into many other means to support each other during this time, we kindly request our community, neighbors, friends and family to help. 100% of the proceeds will go to our team!
Funds will be distributed based on the expressed needs of the staff to cover expenses such as rent, groceries, bills and prescriptions with hopes to stretch them over the time we'll be closed.
We thank you in advance for your contributions and very much look forward to getting back to providing service, food and drink at Suraya.
