Hello Neighbor,
My name is James Ward. I am a husband and father of 2 little ones.
I got accepted into Liberty University's MDiv program in August 2023. I would love to be a fulltime student while taking care of my family.
I am 40 years old and I prefer to focus on ministry full time, starting with being a student of ministry. Can you help me with that?
Some of my Christian Beliefs:
- I believe anyone has the capability to accept or reject Jesus Christ. Also, I believe that once one is sincerely saved, he or she would always be saved until God calls him or her Home.
- I am a complementarian in the home and church government. I do not support the woman being the head of her husband or the pastor of men.
- I believe that the church should give money/resources to support the ministry, ministers, widows, orphans, and the poor. However, the percentage does not have to be strictly 10% because tithing or 10% is not a new covenant commandment for the church. We should instead give whatever we decide in our heart to give, giving sacrificially, consistently, systematically, and cheerfully.
- We should vote in a way that most closely honors the holiness and wisdom of Jesus Christ. Voting democrat in the United States is certainly not anywhere close to that holiness or wisdom. For now, I believe Christians should vote republican in the United States. Although republican political ideology is not the complete Kingdom of God, it is certainly more Christian friendly than democrat ideology.
