Supporting Ye Olde Cottage
Spende geschützt
Ye Olde Cottage is a staple of Weston Town Center. Whether it’s your goto for breakfast meetings, your kiddos first employer, or where you grab that egg sandwich when pressed for time - I suspect most here have benefitted from this special nook. As many of you can imagine between the town center construction, and then the pandemic, our favorite little breakfast spot is struggling.
I am posting this on behalf of some folks that have been coordinating with Steve, and while Steve didn’t want donations with nothing in return, we’ve been brainstorming how to put something together that allows us to support this wonderful part of our town, without making it a logistical nightmare.
Donations of all proceeds will go to Steve @ Ye Olde Cottage with the intention of being spent on the following three items:
1) $200/day in breakfast delivered to town agencies (e.g., DPW, Fire, Police, Town Hall, etc) rotating by day, done in compliance with 930 CMR 5.08(11), and in a manner that is not overwhelming or impractical for the town; or,
2) $200/day in breakfast delivered to front line workers, shelters, senior/assisted living facilities, or other organizations/individuals dealing with food insecurity as a result of the pandemic; and,
3) Funds may also be used to cover the cost of equipment and/or delivery expenses to fulfill #1 and 2.
There are most likely other places in town struggling, unfortunately GoFundMe only allows for one entity at a time as part of a fundraiser. If other businesses are in need of support, please reach out and I’d be happy to coordinate a similar effort.
