Supporting Tim and Jo

On the 1st October this year, Jack, the beloved 12 year old son of our friends Jo and Tim, was involved in an road traffic accident in Watford. Sadly, Jack sustained a fractured skull and brain injuries and has been in a critical condition since.

He is in a coma in a specialist London hospital and will remain there for some considerable time as it is very likely that he will have an extended period of recovery and rehabilitation once he is out of the coma.

Since the accident, Jo and Tim have spent days and nights at the hospital by Jack’s side as well still caring for Jack’s little brother, Teddy, who is missing his big bro terribly. They are all going through the most torturous time of their lives and are barely coping with the emotions and feelings of helplessness at just sitting and watching their son, whilst hoping and praying that their little boy pulls through.

Jo and Tim’s families have been supporting them on a day-to-day basis, but Tim is unable to work and therefore he has no income to pay his mortgage, household bills and travel expenses. This is adding a huge weight to their shoulders at a time that their focus is on helping their son pull through.

With Jack’s level of recovery and his future needs unknown, as their friends we feel helpless and unable to relieve any of the nightmare they are living, but what we can do is to relieve the financial stress for them. If you would like to help by donating, please do so through this GoFundMe page.
