Supporting My Father's Fight For Life: A Daughter's Plea

Spende geschützt
My dad is still a young man at just 65 years. He has always been strong, active, and, above all, a loving father. He has devoted his life to his family and inspired many. He is the kind of father my friends admire and wish they had.

My dad always tells me that I am his confidant. We have always shared long conversations expressing our feelings, discussing our goals, and manifesting our dreams. We are always thankful for the beautiful moments we get to spend together. He makes me feel like the most fortunate woman to have him as my father.
His embrace helps me reset and restore my strength in every sense — that’s what I tell him every time he hugs me.

6 years have passed since I started dreaming of and longing for his embrace because, due to unforeseen circumstances, life led me to move away from him.

Since 2024, we started planning to meet again this spring. But unfortunately, Dad was diagnosed with chronic renal disease due to a complication from silent hypertension. He requires emergent dialysis because of the damage his kidneys have suffered.

Unfortunately, my dad lives in Venezuela, a country in South America that has been suffering through a horrific humanitarian crisis for several years. Many Venezuelans have fled the country to survive. There is an overwhelming lack of economic stability, making it impossible for people to buy essential goods and services. The healthcare system has collapsed, with centers experiencing a shortage of medicine, equipment, and staff. In every corner of Venezuela, health services are inoperable, leaving only a few places where people are forced to fight for medical attention.

Honestly, I never imagined I would have to go through a situation like this, where my father’s life is at stake. Our family has been told that he needs dialysis three times a week, but appointments are scarce. Unfortunately, due to the severity of this humanitarian crisis, priority on who gets immediate care does not exist.

Thankfully, we have been able to find a clinic for my father to get dialysis; however, we must pay up front and out of pocket. The public centers for dialysis are booked, leaving private clinics to take advantage of people, prioritizing the ones who can pay the most.

The clinic that we have found is charging
USD 750 up front for each dialysis treatment. This is an immense amount for my family. With the help of friends and family, we have been able to pay for 4 dialysis treatments, but more are needed.

I’m devastated and desperate!
I plead with you to help me help my father.
I don’t want to lose him!
I can’t imagine my life without his voice, blessing me and my family when we speak on the phone.
I don’t want to stop dreaming of his embrace that will help my sorrows go away.

Please help us with your donation to be able to pay the cost of the treatment that my father needs.

I know God will reward all of you who can help with your prayers or even a small donation.

I infinitely thank you with all my heart.
