Supporting Gemma, Lucas & Aria #1Love
2020 has been a year that we will never forget for all the wrong reasons. During what has been a tough time for people across the country, tragedy struck our group. Our beloved Grant, friend, son, dad, uncle and partner collapsed on August 20th in front of Gemma and young Lucas. Despite the best efforts of the paramedics and the staff at Bolton Hospital Grant did not regain consciousness and sadly passed away on Monday 31st August with Gemma, Nancy and sister Gemma by his side.
The difficulties we have had as a friendship group in coming to terms with his loss are small compared to that felt by his family. Gemma has displayed extraordinary strength in coping so far and we will ensure that her, Lucas and Aria will be looked after for many years to come.
This page whilst being set up with Gemma’s blessing was not her idea, but that of friends who love Grant and his family dearly. We will always be there to support them no matter what they need, but, we know that there are many, many others out there who would also like to do what they can to help out. If this page, or link, finds its way to you, and you feel you can contribute then feel free to do so. With the future far from certain for any of us, our thoughts are to support Gemma, Lucas and Aria financially as well as emotionally. A single mum, pregnant grieving for the love of her life needs us, we will be there.
