Supporting Eden Daycare

Supporting Eden Daycare is a volunteering project to cooperate with a public school in Arusha, Tanzania.

Meet Eden Daycare centre

Eden Daycare was founded in 2009 by Madame Margreth. She’s 26 years old and was orphaned at the age of 15. Her dream has always been to start a school to provide guidance and care to young children who have been orphaned or that can’t afford paying for their education. Something she felt she had missed out in her childhood.

She started teaching and caring for only one child but as time passed and the group expanded she had the necessity to go to sell fruits and vegetable in the market, in order to have enough money to provide all children no matter the cost with food, medicine and education.

Our goals

Our first and most important objective is paying for the food supply for a whole year (≈ 800€).

Secondly we would like to paint the inside and outside of the school with the help of the children, this will improve the kids’ environment and the kids will enjoy of an artistic experience (≈ 250€).

Lastly we want to buy a swing as their playground environment is restricted to playing with 2 balls (≈ 450€).

The money will be deposited monthly in a bank account designated for Eden Daycare center.
