Supporting Chris Russell and his Family

Never in a million years would I have thought I'd be making one of these for a situation like this, but I wouldn't do it unless it was extremely necessary..

My mother, Lindsey VanDeusen-Russell (Hoose), and step-father, Chris Russell, were stopped awaiting oncoming traffic to make a turn while they were on their way to a friend's fundraiser. During the stop, a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed struck the back of my mom's car. My mom is suffering from multiple injuries, including a swollen spleen and separated ligaments within her ribs. Chris is currently in the ICU at Albany Med, fighting for his life. Chris is a successful contractor and the owner of Russell Construction, while my mom is also a successful owner of her own housekeeping company. As a result of the accident, my mom lost her vehicle and most of her business supplies. With her injuries, it is unknown when she will be able to return to work, and now she has lost her partner's income as well. My mom is a homeowner and will also try keeping Chris' business vehicles and those expenses maintained for as long as possible. My mom has my younger brothers at home to care for, including their 10-year-old son, Jaxyn. Chris has two other sons, 19 and 15, three step-children, 23, 21 and 17, and he has a 3-year-old grandson.
