Deputy Chief Janet Theriault, of the Millinocket Police Department since 2004, has been on unpaid leave since February 3, 2020. She has been the VICTIM of a hostile workplace environment with harassment and bullying tactics by the Chief of police Craig Worster, hired in 2019 with no protection from the town manager John Davis. It's also important to note that 9 out of 10 officers have left the Millinocket force within Craig Worster's 1st 10 months employment!
All Janet's personal benefit time she has had to cash in is exhausted.
To all those who know Janet, know her to be a kind, fair, community leader who takes great pride in her career, work ethics and love for not just her community but her family as well. Many of us have seen her go out of her way to give a person in need a bag of clothes or a child a toy. She is a caring, compassionate human being who has always been there for any of us in our time of need...now it's time for us to be there for Janet!
