Oh Hello! Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Elizabeth and I am currently finishing my first year at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College in Barry’s Bay, Ontario, Canada, where I plan to return in the fall to continue my Catholic Liberal Arts education.
I am passionate about promoting the beauty and value of life – in all its stages. This year, I have chosen to give my summer to raise awareness for the Pro-Life cause by joining the Crossroads Pro-Life Walk across Canada.
Crossroads is a non-profit organization founded by a group of college students in the States in 1995 in response to Pope St. John Paul II’s call to the youth to take an active role in the new evangelization to establish a Culture of Life. Each summer, Crossroads organizes yearly pro-life walking pilgrimages across Canada and the US so that young people like me can peacefully witness to the dignity and sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death. We will walk from one end of the country to (almost) the other, stopping in major cities along the way to speak at churches and youth groups and to pray in front of abortion clinics. God-willing, I will be walking with my group from May 19th to August 11th from Vancouver, British Columbia to Ottawa, Ontario.
This summer will come with many sacrifices. I will offer each and every hardship up for the unborn and all who have been and will be affected by abortion and euthanasia, and I will be praying for an end to these acts. My aspiration, and the mission of Crossroads, is to offer a message of peace and hope by quietly walking on the side of the road wearing my “pro-life” t-shirt and engaging in conversations along the way.
Since this is a volunteer initiative, I will not be able to have a summer job to earn College tuition money. I am humbly asking for your support in my pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Catholic Studies at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College. I am grateful for any amount you are able to give. If you are unable to give a monetary donation, I ask for your prayers, and I urge you to consider being more involved in promoting the Pro-Life movement to save the lives of the youngest of our kind. In the words of St. Mother Theresa: “It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that we may live as we wish.”
