Ugandan HIV kids who keep on dreaming

Donation protected
In Arua, in order to be part of the Safe Haven Youth Group, a child must be BORN WITH HIV.  My husband Raghu and I have been working in an HIV treatment project in Arua for the last nine months.  It's from the HIV clinic of this project that The Safe Haven Youth Group was born.  As a result of this group, the youth have a place to overcome a lack of self esteem by connecting with their peers, to share their worries, and by learning to counsel each other. In addition, the group keeps these children active in music, dance, drama, and through educational and training initiatives to improve their social-economic prospects.  Overall, the youth in this group will take the education they receive to spread the message of positive living.  One day they hope to achieve their end goal of reducing the spread of the HIV epidemic, one youth at a time, since it's this demographic whose number of HIV infections are climbing. The message has reached 900 youth so far, yet the youth still have so much more to learn, and so many more youth to reach and teach.  Counselors Alex, Lillian, and Proscovia are volunteer counselors in Arua, dedicated to these kids.  However the current donor for the group is leaving Arua, and now the Safe Haven Youth Group needs you.  Suggested minimum donation:  $25.  The youth of the Safe Haven Youth Group thank you!
