Zoey, my mom’s beloved dog, has recently sustained a terrible back injury. We don’t know exactly how it happened; it may have been a fluke fall, but the damage is serious. After rushing her to the emergency vet, we were told she needed a neurologist to determine the cause. The diagnosis revealed a bulged disk requiring surgery.

Zoey is more than just a family pet. My late father chose her for her joyful, energetic personality that could make anyone smile. Since his passing four years ago, Zoey has been a living connection to him, an irreplaceable reminder of his presence and the love he left behind. To my mom, Zoey is a daily source of comfort, and to our family, she represents a piece of my dad we still get to hold close.

Now, we’re facing a difficult challenge. The surgery and medical care Zoey needs come with a large bill ($13,000). We're facing some tough times, and the medical costs are overwhelming.
