Support Youth in Zimbabwe on the Front Lines

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
If you are looking for a concrete way to give back during the pandemic, please consider contributing to my fundraiser for IGNITE, a youth-led nonprofit organization doing transformative work in Zimbabwe.
I serve on IGNITE’s board and have personally met dozens of the young leaders who are building this organization and fighting the impact of COVID-19 on the front lines. Despite the extreme hardship brought by the pandemic, IGNITE leaders have launched new virtual mentoring programs for youth, entrepreneurship classes, mental health supports, and initiatives to provide for basic needs of Zimbabwe families in crisis.
Over the last three years, IGNITE has reached thousands of children and youth with programs designed to empower the next generation of African leaders to contribute to their nation’s development and pursue meaningful careers for themselves.
When you support IGNITE’s work, not only will you be part of something amazing, but you will know exactly where your money is going: directly and immediately to people and programs on the ground in a part of the world that has been hit particularly hard. The coronavirus outbreak has changed life as we know it in Zimbabwe, creating job insecurity, food shortages, and a housing crisis that is affecting millions. I have worked closely with IGNITE’s amazing Executive Director, Tadzie Madzima, for many years and I can’t imagine a better way to help those impacted by the pandemic than by investing in her life’s work.
