Support Yamili's Brother in His Cancer Fight

Hello everyone. My name is Mario Alvarez. Born and raised in South Bay San Diego. I’m currently battling stage 3 seminoma testicular cancer. I’m a respiratory therapy student at grossmont college. I played football and wrestled at Montgomery high school and also coached there for the past 15 years. This has to be toughest battle I’ve ever faced. The cancer has spread to my liver, lungs, and spine causing round the clock pain. Fortunately, I know my wrestling experience has prepared me to get through these mentally and physically exhausting times.

I’ve worked and continued school during these difficult times, however I can longer do so as I’m now physically disabled. Any donation allows me to focus on treatment and will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Yamili Alvarez. My younger brother, who is 33 years old, is dealing with a difficult battle with stage 3 cancer. He is currently in treatments right now and is doing the best he can, and so is our family.

 He’s a student at Grossmont college, studying to be a Respiratory Therapist because he has a passion for helping others. Also, he’s a huge Padre fan! 

 The treatments needed to combat this illness will take a heavy toll on him, impacting his ability to work and adding a significant financial burden to an already difficult and heartbreaking situation.
