On January 15, 2026, Vedat Kilic suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while in the car with his wife, Alayna. He was immediately transported to Hershey Medical Center, where he underwent life-saving brain surgery. Since being admitted, Vedat has faced even more challenges, including a second brain surgery, two additional strokes, and signs of right-sided vision loss. Alayna has remained by his side in Hershey, doing everything she can to support him and their children during this uncertain time.

As Vedat continues to fight for his recovery, the family is facing mounting expenses. The costs of medical care, rehabilitation, and in-home care services are significant. On top of that, Alayna has had to cover unexpected expenses for lodging, transportation, and meals while staying near the hospital. It is still unclear when Vedat will be stable enough to move to inpatient rehabilitation, and the possibility of recurring strokes means the road ahead is long and unpredictable.
