The UVA Women’s Rowing Team is participating in Operation Christmas Child alongside the rest of UVA Athletics. This initiative sends shoeboxes filled with gifts and essentials to children around the world who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present.

On November 19th, our team will join the UVA athletic community for the annual Packing Party in partnership with Athletes in Action (AIA), FCA, and Samaritan’s Purse. It costs about $50 to build a quality shoebox full of gifts, so every donation counts!

There’s also a friendly competition among all UVA teams to see which team can pack the most shoeboxes — and Rowing is aiming to win the title this year. Your support helps us get there by funding the gifts and supplies we need to fill as many boxes as possible.
